Is there a way of accessing my data on MyCurrentCost.com through a public feed? I want to start importing it into Pachube to start doing more with the data. I'm currently using an Envir with one of your bridge devices. I'm already sucessfully uploading to Google Power Meter.

All the currentcost data is actually stored in Pachube.

If you get your feed ID and API key from CurrentCost you can use the pachube API to access your data. I've successfully done this, although the API is a bit flakey and doesn't seen to like too many serial requests...

I hope to add the public feed function this week. I was waiting for a backend fix to make this happen which has now been done. So subject to work this week, it will be added for testing.

Is this backend for currentcost or backend for Pachube?

Will it address the performance of the API?

it was backend pachube. Not sure what you mean by API performance

OK, let be put it a different way.

What are the 'rules' for using the API to pull data from Pachube?

My test previously showed you could only call a few days data in a row before the API returned nothing. I don't knw why this is. Is there a rate limit for users getting data?

Just don't work it too hard else it breaks.

I reckon more than about 10 calls to it in 1 minute breaks it.

If you would like to make your feed public, send me a direct message on this forum with your serial number and I will do this. A button is coming soon to the devices panel.

I have now added a padlock next to each device listed in the device panel. All bridges are private by default.

Click the padlock to make an individual bridge public or private. When a bridge is public, the Environment ID for the bridge will be exposed in the Devices panel. You will then be able to make use of the various Pachube widgets and gadgets etc.
