Current Cost Support Forum

Hi guys,

Has anyone successfully used pvoutput.org to accept feed from the bridge? Would like to know how to do this.

This is my first post and I am out of my depth in understanding how Current Cost Device works so need some help please.

I have an Aurora inverter and have data relating to Energy generated and Peak power automatically fed into PV Output.org.

I have been told that if I obtain a Current Cost device it will enable upload of household consumption data which, when combined with the current generation data, my import and export will be automatically calculated each day on PV Output.

What I would like to know is how do I get the Current Cost Device and what is the cost.

Sorry if this is not strictly on topic however, I don't know what the bridge that crtaylor mentioned is.

I now have 2 EnviR units and wish to have the consumption unit linked to PVoutput.org

Can someone point me in the right direction and is it necessary to buy the Bridge to do so.

I have a Pendo laptop which captures generation and this is sent automatically to PVOutput.

With the Pendo it is on 24 hours a day so I assume that i do not need the Bridge.

I take it I connect the consumption EnviR to Pendo as a first step and then follow the Pachtube instructions.

Have progressed but am stuck on getting an API key for Pachube. Don't understand the terminology.

I extract my grid power use and solar generation using the Current Cost clamps and then monitor the data with the Envir monitor, bridge and PV output. I have a conergy inverter and a logger for that costs over $1200 whereas the system I use was below $320. I would also like to massage my data as there i a % error between the Current Cost figures and those that I gather from my meter box each night. Will you "Seeker after truth" be publishing the code and process you use to massage your data via Pachube and you progress with the "Brain" on your word press blog ? Will the brain be able to download live to - PV output?

Seeker After truth I monitor both my power generation and mains power consumption via the Current Cost Envir system using the bridge. I too would like to adjust the readings via Pauchube but do not have the expertise. Will you be publising your method and code either here on on your Word Press Blog?
